Setting up Microsoft Outlook (POP3)
The following tutorial will walk you through configuring Microsoft Outlook to interact correctly with the Web-1 Hosting mail system. Each step is accompanied by textual directions and an image with example settings. Please note, your username, password, and email address will vary from those displayed in the images.

Steps 1 and 2 - Opening the "New Accounts" Window
The first step in creating a new account for Outlook is to click on "Tools" menu, you might have to fully expand the menu to see all of its options.
Once the menu is fully expanded, you will want to click on the "E-mail Accounts..." menu option.
Step 3 - The E-mail Accounts Window
After clicking on the "E-mail Accounts..." option, you will be presented with a new window. In this window you will have several options to choose from. Please check the "Add a new e-mail account" option and then click "Next >".
Step 4 - Server Type
The next window will ask for the server type. Please "POP3" and then click the "Next >" button.
Step 5 - Internet E-mail Settings
The next window will ask you to input several important account settings:
Please remember, the usernames and email address in the image below are only for reference. You must use your own username, email address, ans password when configuring your Outlook client.
Because Web-1 has taken extra steps to secure your email experience, you must configure a couple few more advanced settings. Please click on the "More Settings..." button in the lower right area of the window.
A new window will open with four (4) tabs at the top.
Step 6 - More Settings (Outgoing Server)
Please click on the "Outgoing Server" tab, then check the "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option.
Then verify that the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" option is marked.
Step 7 - More Settings (Advanced)
Now, click on the "Advanced" tab.
Please make sure to check "This server requires an SSL-secured connection" for both the incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) servers.
Next, please verify the "Incoming server (POP3)" port number is set to "995".
Lastly, please verify the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port number is set to "465".
Note: in some cases, depending on the version of Outlook used, the connection may time out when using port "465", in this case please change your port to "2525" for the outgoing mail server.
After verifying this information, click on the "OK" button.
Step 8 - Finish Internet E-mail Settings
You are now finished with your Internet E-mail Settings, please cick the "Next >" button.
Step 9 - Congratulations!
You have now successfully configured the Outlook E-mail client.
Please click on the "Finish" button.
